At the young age of 13, Captain Tony began crabbing and gillnetting the waters of the Chesapeake Bay with his father. During those times, crabs were kept in live boxes and sold live directly to the public.
Growing up on the water in the Edgemere/Miller’s Island area, Captain Tony has extensive knowledge of fishing and crabbing in the Chesapeake Bay. He passed on this experience and love of the water to his children, who have worked on his boat pulling pots and sorting crabs.
His son Tony Jr. now operates a tugboat out of Baltimore, and his daughter Christina, with her experience on the boat and prior employment in several busy crab houses, is now the manager of Waterman's Pride Seafood.
We catch our crabs daily, and steam them to order, ensuring that our customers receive the freshest crabs available. Our soft crabs are shed by Captain Tony's dad and are sent to the store each day.
Our commitment to fresh quality seafood and friendly, knowledgeable staff has enabled Waterman's Pride to steadily grow even in tough economic times. We have customers who travel from out of state to buy our crabs weekly.
We are Waterman's Pride Seafood.
And we are dedicated to serving our customers the freshest seafood at great prices.
